Evansville West Side Nut Club Fall Festival

One of Evansville biggest and oldest events is the Fall Festival, It is more of a food festival than anything but there are carnival rides and games too. It is considered the second largest street festival in the country. If you search for the munchie map or the wise choice map you will get something like this that shows a map of the food booths so you can plan your attack http://www.courierpress.com/news/local-news/west-side-nut-club-releases-2014-fall-festival-muchie-map

This was my first stop. I went for the Burgoo which is a regional meat and vegetable stew was very good on a cold rainy day. I came back to this booth for some cookies and cake later

We went back the next day for dessert. The Smore on a stick was not so good but the Buckeyes were nice, it is peanut butter wrapped in chocolate. I can’t wait to go back next year and maybe try some catfish or a stromboli.

Best places to eat with Disney World QS counter service dining

This is a list of some of the great places I found to use my Quick service meal credits at Disney World in 2014.

Our first night we went to Coronado Springs Pepper Market. I had my eye on the ribs and the grilled chicken but when they made our rib plate with mashed potatoes and veggies we decided to stop with one entrée and split it. We were more than satisfied with this one meal and although the ribs had some fat there was still plenty of meat. We had carrot cake for the dessert.

We started the first day with a quick trip for some omelets at the food court in the All Star Sport Resort. Later in the morning a dole Whip and Cronut at Epcot’s Refreshment Port were good dessert options along with many more items from the Food And Wine festival that was going on while we were there

The Cookes of Dublin has great Fish and Chips and maybe the best Chicken pot pie I have ever had. The crust was flaky and the chicken and mushrooms were fresh tasting.

Here is our meal at Captain Cooke's in the Polynesian Resort. I had the Lobster roll and the wifey had a Polynesian Salad with Chicken. both were good but the Lobster roll could have used more meat. I spied a Lobster roll with bacon later in the week at Saratoga Springs.

This is a popular spot and we were able to snag a lunch fast pass, it is the Be Our Guest restaurant in the Magic Kingdom. I had the pork roast and it was one of the best meals I had this trip.

If you are looking to get the most dollar value for your counter service meal credits then I recommend the Contempo Café in the Contemporary Resort. The pot roast and Steak salad with cupcakes for dessert were amazing and if we were paying cash it would have been almost $50 for this meal alone.

I think the Liberty Inn at the American pavilion is under rated. The Red White and Blue salad and Rocky Road Brownie were delicious. It has indoor and Outdoor seating and the Chase Disney Visa lounge is right next door.

Our last day we made it to the Artists Palette at the Saratoga Springs resort for some yummy Chicken Spinach artichoke flatbread and a turkey wrap.

here is our meal at The Landscape of Flavor in the Art of Animation resort. Another one of my favorite meals was the create your own Pasta. I had the cook make me a Shrimp Pesto dish, it was so good. I had seen a chef’s suggested recipes online but the servers knew nothing of it so I had to back off and Google it on my phone. You might want to do the same because there are a lot of choices. here is a review that shows a pic of it
This option was very good - Pasta Primavera = Campanelle with fresh vegetables, Fresh garlic, and Pesto cream sauce.
